API SPEC 7-2 INTERNAL FLUSH WORKING GAUGES

FYOU PMEC, provides Internal Flush (I.F.) working, reference and regional master gages per API specification 7-2 for sizes from 2 to 6-5/8 inches in diameter. All working gages are manufactured and certified using a certified API reference master gage as required by the standard.

IF connections have a V-shaped thread form with a 38° angle and a 10 threads per inch pitch. They are similar to NC connections but have a smaller outer diameter and a larger inner diameter resulting in a flush joint. This reduces the risk of differential sticking, improves hydraulic efficiency, and allows the use of larger downhole tools.

IF connections have a torque shoulder that provides a positive stop for make-up and a seal face that prevents metal-to-metal contact between the pin and box.

Some IF connection advantages compared to other types of rotary shouldered connections are lower friction, higher flow rate, better clearance and easier handling.
